Werhane History
- Grandfather John Esmund began delivering for Dean Food Company in 1947.
- Developed into straight truck flat bed semis. Bought by Fred K. Werhane (son-in-law) in 1975.
- Still distributing Dean Food Products with fleet of sixteen semi's delivering to six states in the midwest.
- Purchased Green County Express, Inc. in March of 1995, adding a fleet of ten trucks which service Kraft Foods in the upper-midwest area.
- Began to services Alliant Food Service and shortly after Kraft, Gordon Foods, and Sysco Foods.
- As of January 1999 we have added satellite communications that is interfaced with our computer dispatch systems.
Additional Information
- Outbound freight from Wisconsin & Chicago, Illinois.
- Have trucks Monday-Friday in Grand Rapids & Detroit, MI; Cincinnati & Northern, OH.
- Have 48 tractors with both 48' reefers & 2 53' reefers with all future too 53'.
- Specialize in temperature sensative, multi-pick & drop, LTL & Just In Time Freight.
